LONDON, 4 April 2022 – Newton, part of BNY Mellon Investment Management, today announces the appointment of Alex Khosla as a portfolio manager on the firm’s Global Emerging Markets and Asian equities strategies, in its global opportunities team. Alex will work alongside lead portfolio managers Paul Birchenough and Ian Smith on the £1.8 billion Newton Global Emerging Markets, Sustainable Global Emerging Markets and Asian Equity strategies.
Alex joins from Aikya Investment Management, where he was an investment analyst covering Global Emerging Markets. Prior to that, he was an investment analyst at Stewart Investors. Alex worked with Paul and Ian at AXA Framlington, where he supported them in managing the firm’s Global Emerging Markets funds. He began his career at UBS Investment Bank.
